Sacramento Valley School
Gypsy Andrews

Shortly after the fall of 1998 when my daughter was enrolled in her first year at SVS, I became one of the first people to complete a specially designed internship program for staff candidacy. In the several years following of being an elected staff member, I’ve shared my artistic skills and have assisted in various student-initiated projects. I continue to strive toward modeling a passionate love of learning through ongoing personal studies of alternative healing modalities and in my community involvement with a local parenting network.
I’ve recently been studying child development as it relates to natural learning and unhindered growth, having welcomed a second child into our family in 2004. Watching my youngest develop each day has given me a deeper understanding of the unstoppable passion we all have for learning new skills and gaining the information we need to succeed in every stage of life.
I am blessed to continue being part of this incredible learning community and to have the insight to put my trust in children and their innate desire to learn, grow and succeed in their individual lives. The unfolding occurs in them daily and I gain constant confirmation that this unquenchable curiosity to learn about the world and themselves will lead these children toward great success and competency in every pursuit to come.
