Valley School Mary Lou Wright is a staff member, trustee and founder of the school. She loves cooking and shares her expertise as a cook along with her other interests in math, science, judicial matters and aesthetics. Mary Lou continues her twenty five year career in pharmacy. Her profession has required that she clearly communicate available choices after listening carefully to the details. This life experience has made it possible for her to use these skills when listening and responding to students and parents of SVS. Her work as Registrar and Records Clerk to the School Meeting evidence her skills of administrative management, negotiation and leadership. Her ongoing studies include the Sudbury model of education, home arts, food preservation, alternatives to western medicine and religious philosophies. Mary Lou has two children who attended SVS since its beginning and have both entered the world of theater. Her oldest child was awarded a diploma in 2004.
